Pakistan’s automobile sector saw a remarkable increase in sales during February 2026, with total vehicle sales across multiple categories reaching 17,121 units. This marks a 41.7% rise compared to 12,084 units sold in February 2025, according to the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).
In the first eight months of FY26, total sales hit 128,489 units—about 43.2% higher than the same period last year—reflecting a robust automotive market despite economic and geopolitical pressures.
Industry experts attribute this growth to improved consumer confidence and better vehicle availability. Among major automakers, Toyota led the 1300cc and above segment with 3,102 units sold, while Honda and Suzuki maintained stable production and sales figures.
Demand for jeeps and pickup trucks remained strong, sometimes surpassing production numbers, indicating high customer interest. Motorcycles and three-wheelers also played a key role, with production at 157,543 units and sales at 159,512 units for February, showing consistent market activity.
The surge demonstrates the resilience of Pakistan’s automobile market, highlighting opportunities for automakers and investors in the sector.
