The Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 will be held without spectators this year as part of government-led austerity measures amid ongoing regional tensions.
Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), confirmed that all matches will be played behind closed doors and limited to Karachi and Lahore.
In addition, the grand opening ceremony has been cancelled to reduce operational costs and avoid large public gatherings. The tournament is scheduled to run from March 26 to May 3, with the opening match featuring Lahore Qalandars taking on Hyderabad Kingsmen.
Authorities have stated that while institutions remain on alert, there is no immediate security threat. Matches will continue without spectators until regional conditions improve, prioritizing the safety of players, staff, and the public.
Despite restrictions, fans can still enjoy the excitement of PSL through live broadcasts as the tournament moves forward under controlled conditions.
