Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) has achieved a historic breakthrough with the highest-ever oil and gas production from a single well in Pakistan’s history. The milestone was reached at the Baragzai X-01 (Slant) exploratory well located in the Nashpa Block, Kohat.
Record-Breaking Production Levels 📊
The well has delivered exceptional output, including:
- 15,000 barrels of oil per day (BPD)
- 45 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas
Production is expected to further increase to:
- 25,000 BPD oil
- 60 MMSCFD gas
Additionally, the well is producing LPG and other hydrocarbons, making it a highly valuable national asset.
